Prepare for Your Online Class

To ensure a successful start to your online or blended course, we encourage you to:

  1. Complete the Online Orientation for Students
  2. Read the Virtual Learning Campus Student Guide (PDF)
  3. Review the following:


Pre-Class Checklist

NOTE: If you cannot access the syllabus, you can still find textbook information and order your textbooks at the eCampus Bookstore.


Access Your Student E-mail Account

You can access your email at any time through MATC Webmail—left sidebar under Quick Links. You will then need to enter your full email address and password. Check your Webmail inbox daily.

All members of the college community have both a and email address. We require you to use your campus email for your coursework. You will receive official college correspondence through this email address. Have your email set up and accessible before the beginning of classes.


Access Your Course

You can access all of your courses—including your face-to-face courses—under My Courses in the left sidebar under Quick Links.

After clicking the [+] icon to the left of My Courses, locate your course and click the link to be directed to your class website.


Preview an Online Course
If you’re not familiar with eLearning, you can preview an online course. Go to our YouTube channel and view the various course features (online quizzes, discussion boards, etc.) you can expect to see in a typical online learning environment.

Students may obtain online or in-person tutoring in nearly all subject areas through the Learning Resource Center.

Test Proctoring
Students may arrange free testing center services through the Learning Resource Center.
